Okay 7C! It's time to take to the skies!!

With Heavensward comes FC Airships. We can get 4 max at launch and add more later. Why should you care? Aside from just being an FC member and caring about building this thing together here are what airships will do.

Here's the short version rundown.

1: Initially we can use them like retainer ventures to go out and gather large quantities of materials for the FC so that we can sell items to fund more ships / make gear for members / food supply for events and raids / raffle items etc etc.

2: We will in a later patch 3.1 approx, be able to BOARD the airships in groups and go to areas ONLY reachable via FC airships. We can actually charge guests (non FC folks) a fee to come with us and reach these areas. The areas will have gathering areas for rare items and also battle areas with drops and notorious monsters.

3: In an even later patch we can do BATTLE in the airships. Yoshida has gone on record saying FC Airships are going to be a massive part of the game going forward.

With this in mind, we're doing a funding drive. And with the funding drive, even though we just came off a huge contest giving away copies of Heavensward, I'm going to come up with something small somewhere to raffle off. For every 500k deposited to the Company Chest from now til end of contest you will get 1 raffle ticket. Why 500k? Because I don't want it to be 1-5 people carrying the load here and judging by the housing contest, some folks contributed the bare bones minimum simply to try to win a reward, which is not the idea here. The main idea is to fund the ship. Those that contribute significantly have a chance to win something really cool. Those that put in smaller amounts, thats' fine too, every dime counts and it should not be about what you can get from it, as the end result benefits the ENTIRE FC long term. Please be aware that if this is a perk which can be locked and people refuse to contribute at all towards the goal when time comes to use the airships there may be a small buy in for those folks who did not choose to assist in making the perk happen. I do understand that many members need gil to fund zodiac weapons, personal housing etc…but this is about your FC which affects all, and it's not crazy to expect small kick ins over the next 3 months regardless of frequency of play. Also this is a loooong contest people. Over 3 months. So plenty of time for everyone to at least get one entry to what might be coming your way if you win the raffle.
